DAVE RODGERS

Dave Rodgers, considered by many the “father of Eurobeat“, wrote and produced over 2500 songs for many famous artists, like the J-POP singer Amuro Namie (Try Me, Watashi Shinjite), V6 (Ultraman Tiga, Take me higher), Max and many more.
Dave is a songwriter, composer and producer, heavily known for his contributions to the Eurobeat genre of electronic music, genre which he, thanks to more than 30 Million copies he sold as Producer, Singer and Composer contributed to become popular worldwide.
He started his career under the alias Aleph and since then he has been working with many artist from all around the world.

1985, Fly To Me by Aleph is released and becomes an instant worldwide success.

1987, Fire on the Moon by Aleph is released and the the following Dave toured Japan with 20 gigs sharing the stage with artists like Kylie Minogue, Mandy Smith and Pete Waterman.

1988, Black Out Album by Aleph is released

1989, Take my Life Album as Aleph is released followed by a tour in Japan

1990, Dave together with Alberto Contini and Domino sets up a brand new label A Beat
C which start the collaboration with Avex Japan.

1990, Dave opens a new Recording Studio in Mantova where he starts a new project under the name The Big Brother both as artist and producer, the first song is titled Wild Reputation.

1991, Dave returns to Japan for his third tour

1992, Dave opens 2 recording studios and produces the TMN Song Meets Disco Style Album that sells more than 200,000 copies, Madonna in the same period was at number 20 in the sales chart while Dave in eighteenth.

1993, New tour in Japan where Dave shares the stage with Tetsuya Komuro, TMN frontman.

1994, Dave produces the song Try Me for Amuro Namie which earns hims the number one position on the Japanese Oricon top ten and sells close to 2 million copies, in the same year Dave returns to Japan and shares the stage in front of 50000 people with guitarist Jennifer Batten, other artists include Prodigy, 2 Unlimited, Bananarama, etc. at the Tokyo Dome.

1995, Dave produces the album The Alfee Meets Dance and starts to build the new recording studios.

In the same year the song Music for the People performed by V6 reaches the number one position on the top ten, Dave and Alberto mix down the track at Avex Studios in Tokyo.
He writes the music for the official anthem for his hometown’s football team: “Forza Mantova!”

1996, Dave produces the album for the band Max which sells 2 million copies, V6 with Made in Japan, Beat your Heart and Take me Higher sell another 2 millions . In the same year Dave opens the new Rodgers recording studios with three recording rooms and three separate mixing rooms which work simultaneously, plus a mastering studio and pre production room, the building also includes offices, accomodation for musicians and a swimming pool in a beautiful park.

1997, Space Boy becomes one of the best known tracks by Dave Rodgers.

1998, Deja Vu, is released but it will take 20 years ito become become the most viewed song by Dave Rodgers on the web

1999, the Compilation Super Eurobeat Vol.100 sells one and a half million copies, Dave produces almost half of the album and goes back to japan for another tour, Dave did 2 shows on new year’s eve in Tokyo

2000, Dave receives the second award following the one he got for Try Me for the Super Eurobeat Vol.100 compilation

2001, Dave produces Mickey Mouse March performed by Domino for Walt Disney and receives the third award for the Super Eurobeat Vol.110 compilation which sells almost 2 million copies with half of the songs produced by Dave.

2002, Dave discovers Nuage and produces a new Album Sunday.

2003, Back to Japan, Osaka Automesse will be the last show played by Dave until 2006.

2006, Blow your Mind, is the only rock album produced and sang by Dave.

2007, Dave does a Mexican tour as Aleph.

2008, Dave & his band supported Kiko Loureiro for some dates in Italy.

2011, Dave leaves A beat C and Alberto Contini, he stops producing, for 5 years he just writing and recording some songs for the Sun Fire label.

2017, Dave produces Aleph 2 recording cover versions of some of his songs like: Fly to Me and Fire on the Moon.

2018, A new track by Aleph titled I’m on Fire is released

2018, Another new track as by Aleph titled Time is released.

2018, October, Dave returns to Japan for a tour.

2021, Dave Rodgers music produced and published many important albums for several artists like Domino, Annerley, Kaioh and Dave Rodgers himself.

2022, the brand SEGA uses two brand new tracks sung by Dave Rodgers for his Initial D video games series, “Tofu Connection” and “Horse Power Desire”.

2022, finally, Dave come back on stage with Kaioh! They did some shows around Europe and Asia, including the Pyrkon (Poland) and Tracon Comic Festival in Finland.

2022, The brand new album called “Initial Day Dream” will be released Oct 19th, 2022. You will get it as a 180gr. vinyl or Audio CD, or all them together.
